I am a freelance director and playwright in the San Francisco Bay Area. From 2002 to 2008, I was Co-Artistic Director of Flying Fig Theater. The mission of Flying Fig was to produce compelling theatrical projects that told women’s stories by commissioning new plays and rediscovering plays that had been forgotten.

I believe a director’s job is to ask questions of a play, assemble a team of imaginative and gutsy designers and actors, and guide them on a search for answers.
